My first nights in Greece I spent sitting by the balcony, reading my books. Of all the books, it was "Tuesdays with Morrie" that really got to me and made my stay in Greece so much better than it already was. First of all, it's based on a true story. And I always love true stories. Second of all, it was just amazing.
The book is about a retired sociology professor called Morrie and one of his old students, Mitch. Mitch tells his old professor on his graduation day that he will keep in touch, but as most of us has done some time, he just continues with his life. It's not until he finds out that Morrie has developed ASL that he contacts him again. The time that they have left together they spend in Morries home, talking about life.
"Tuesdays with Morrie" is one of those books that makes you stop for a moment and think "What am I doing? What do I want in life?". It's a book what makes you feel empowered. It's a book that you easy get in to, and that doesn't take much time to read. It's a book that contains 192, very small pages about everything you think you already know. It's a book you really must read before you die. Really.
